Plasmacam Exhaust Setup

Using a plasma cutter produces metal dust and metal dust tends to get all over and is not exactly healthy to inhale.  The solution for a CNC Plasma Cutter (in my case plasmacam) is to setup some type of exhaust system to vent the metal dust away / out of the garage / shop.

Plasmacam Water Table

When I first got my plasmacam I wanted to only use a water table to control dust.  I soon found out unless I built the water table perfectly attached to the plasmacam unit so that the water could touch the bottom of the steel plate I was cutting that this would not reduce enough of the metal dust.

Tungsten Grinder – Sharpie Arc-Zone

With the purchase of my Lincoln Precision TIG 225 Welder I decided to also get a tungsten grinder.  Something I could always use for grinding tunsten to the same angle over and over w/out worry of contaminent or a bad grind.

20 Ton Press Brake Stand ReBuild

You may recall in the past I wrote an article about my 20 Ton 24″ Shop Press Brake and press brake stand I purchased.  Well, it’s been a while but I have added on to the press brake stand and also mountd it on my old bandsaw stand.  This not only frees up my shop press to be used for dimple dies and pressing bearings but makes them usuable at the same time.

Lincoln Precision Tig 225 Welder

Well, I got my first TIG Welder. A Lincoln Precision Tig 225 AC/DC 220v, and I also got a 330cf argon cylinder to go along with it.  As a hobby welder this unit is more than powerful enough as I don’t plan to do much aluminum let alone thick aluminum, and with this size cylinder I should be only needing a fill up one or two times a year!
