Western Safety Gloves can be found at harbor freight on sale for $4.99/pair. These gloves are almost identical to the mechanix gloves that sell for $19.99 or $24.99 depending on where you shop.
So far these gloves have been holding up as good as the mechanix gloves and for 1/4 the price you can afford for them to not last as long (but they seem to be).

Next time these go on sale I plan to get a few pair to kep on hand.
Regular price at harbor freight is 9.99$.

These are working great for handling tube, grinding, and general fabrication work.
Please keep in mind I use my Mechanix Gloves as well as these Western Safety gloves for basic mechanic work as well as fabrication.
These gloves and mechanix branded gloves do NOT hold up for TOO long with heavy fabricatin. For this I suggest a thicker fabrication glove or a high-end TIG welding glove even.
Overall for $4.99 I am impressed and will buy many more.

Thanks for the tip… where would be the best place for a thicker fabrication glove?
